Discipleship

Discipleship is a multidisciplinary ministry. Since its goal is to make disciples of every believer, this ministry is present in the life of every small group in the church. It is the responsibility of this ministry to ensure that children and seniors alike are exposed to and growing in the grace of knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. To achieve this, the Discipleship Ministry, led by the Associate Pastor, oversees the Bible teaching that goes on in every small group in the life of the church.  More importantly, it manages and runs the two main small groups: Sunday School and Wednesday Bible Study. It is important that all members belong to at least one of these small groups in order to make true connection with other believers.

SUNDAY SCHOOL/ SUNDAY SMALL GROUPS

At CIC, our weekly Sunday gathering to Celebrate and Worship God together begins with Sunday School in the Creole language, at 10:00 am. It runs simultaneously with our English Worship Service. Our goal in Sunday school is to disciple church members, in a small group setting, so they may continue to grow in the knowledge and application of God’s Word in their everyday life.

At 11:30 am, on Sundays, Small group Bible Study in English begins. It is designed for all age group, children, youth and adults who attend the English Worship Service. This group takes place at the same time as the Creole Worship Service. Its main purpose is to provide a platform where church members can dig dipper into God’s word, by studying it together.

We invite you to visit one of our small groups. We are sure the friendly and loving athmosphere will motivate you to become a lifelong member and learner of the Word of God.

WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY

Our midweek Bible Study is another opportunity for members to go deeper into God’s word as well as fellowship with one another during the week.

It takes place in designated homes and location throughout Broward County, in areas where most of our members reside. Groups run in English and Creole for youth and adults. During special times of the year, the groups meet together at designated location to fellowship and study together.

If you love studying God’s Word and sharing with others what the Lord has been teaching you; If you have a gift for communicating God’s truth in a way others can understand and grow in the Lord, please sing up to join one of our small groups.

Men

The CIC men’s ministry is a small group whose goal is to equip and empower every man, aged 13 and up in the church, to be the leaders, fathers, husbands, brothers, mentors, friends, etc that God wants them to be. This is done through periodic and special men gathering for Bible Study, Prayer and Fellowship in a fun and brotherly atmosphere. Whether it is a Super Bowl Party, a Men’s Bible Study, or a simple Basket Ball Game, the Men’s ministry seeks to offer alternative ways for godly men to fellowship, sharpen each other and speak into each other’s lives to show and showcase the love of Jesus Christ.

All men are invited to join! Come learn and share your God given talents with other men. “Iron sharpens iron!”

Women

The CIC Women Ministry, also know as “CIC Sisters of integrity” is

Fellowship

CIC’s strives to be a church where “Real people find real connections”. Therefore at CIC, fellowship is at the heart of everything that we do. It is our belief and experience that the simple act of “braking of bread” provides countless opportunities for members to connect with one another. Therefore, we intentionally seek to improve and enhance our times of fellowship.

If you have the gift for hospitality and desire to see our church community grow closer in love, this is the ministry for you!

Prayer

Prayer is a the root of every activity, event and ministry at CIC.

It is the lifeline of the church. It is our goal that everyone at CIC will have a vibrant and meaningful prayer life. For this purpose, besides encouraging all members to cultivate a devotional life, we have created many opportunities for individuals to engage and connect with other believers in prayer. We gather for prayer on the CIC prayer line every weekday starting at 5:30 am to seek God’s face and intercede for the church. There are people praying every 3 hours on the line (5:30 am; 9:00 am; 12 noon; 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.) On Tuesday night at 8 to 9, we have an hour long prayer meeting on the line conducted in Creole.

On Thursdays, from 9:00 to 9:30 pm we have a collective time of prayer in English.

It is our humble request that God will continue to raise intercessors at CIC, who will stand in the gap and intercede without ceasing for the church and the people of God.

We also organize special prayer meetings at specific times, at designated homes, before the Sunday Worship Service, special prayer and fasting services, etc…

If you have a heart for pursuing God and intercede for His people, or if you desire to grow in your prayer life, this is the ministry for you.
